The third book in the “I Love You Forever and a Day” series features father with son in a beautiful illustration of the bond they share, even when apart. Keeping in tune with the first two books in the series, you will enjoy reading with your little one as they learn about shapes, colors, days of the week, months, and seasons of the year. More importantly reminding them of how the time spent apart makes the time spent together that much more special.
This book was inspired by the author’s husband, a tug captain working in marine construction. Long hours and days of hard work have often kept them apart, sometimes for months at a time. In order to make the most of their time together, the family relocated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. While Dad braves the legendary and treacherous Oregon Inlet as an integral part of the team building the massive Herbert C. Bonner Bridge, mother and son collaborate on more books.
I hope this book will be another way to remind your child just how much you love them and miss them when you are apart.
